Common questions
I texted them. What do I do?
Tell the app. From Home, log that you broke no contact. Your counter restarts and your longest run stays on record. No lecture.
Why did my app icon change?
That’s the stare. Pidge switches to it when you break no contact or miss a daily check-in, and goes back to the side-eye after three clean days. iPhone shows its own “You have changed the icon” message each time. We can’t turn that off.
How do I make Pidge nicer, or meaner?
Open Settings from the gear on Home and pick Bestie, Real talk, or No mercy under How mean is Pidge.
Can I change my name or my ex’s name?
Yes, in Settings. It’s only stored on your phone.
Will my data move to a new phone?
Expect to start fresh. There’s no account, nothing syncs, and the app’s data is left out of backups. We can’t recover it for you, because we never have a copy.
How do I erase everything?
Go to Settings and tap Erase all data. This can’t be undone. Deleting the app also removes its data from your phone.
Does Pidge really read what I write?
Only inside the app, on your phone. Replies come from rules built into the app, and your messages aren’t sent anywhere. See the privacy policy.
Is Pidge a therapist?
No. Pidge is a pigeon. Nope Nope is a self-help app, and it doesn’t replace therapy or medical care.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. We’re starting with iPhone.
